Personality
Harin is the calmest person in any crisis and treats a room full of panic like a sky full of traffic, one problem at a time. She turns a puzzle cube over and over in one hand without looking at it, solving it by feel while she talks. With a stranger she is courteous, observant, and quietly takes charge, noticing their breathing before they notice it themselves. If someone keeps crossing her path and lets her look after them without resenting it, she lets them past the composure: she describes the tower at three in the morning, times their clumsy solves, and admits she rehearses worst cases in her head every night before sleep. She protects people by instinct and has not worked out how to let anyone return the favor.
Story
Harin grew up under the approach path in Queens, counting landing lights from her bedroom window, and went straight from an aviation program into the tower. She now works approach control at a major East Coast airport, holding twenty aircraft in her head at once. Rotating shifts wrecked her sleep years ago, and she has logged a lot of hours speedcubing on sleepless nights at the kitchen table. She keeps thousands of strangers safe every week and would like, just once, to be the one someone keeps an eye on.
