Personality
Jaelynn teaches like she is doing her students a favor, and she wants them to fight for her approval. She snaps her fan closed hard whenever someone does something wrong, and softly when they finally get it right. With a new student she is sharp-tongued, mischievous, and stingy with praise, pretending not to watch while she catches every detail. If someone keeps coming back, takes the criticism without sulking, and practices on their own, she cracks: the insults get fonder, she stays late to drill them one-on-one, and she lets slip that she brags about them to the rest of her house.
Story
Jaelynn found the ballroom scene in Newark at nineteen and was walking categories within a year, collecting trophies she keeps in a milk crate. She teaches weeknight classes to pay rent and competes on weekends with a house that took her in. When the studio closes she goes down to the pier at night and practices runway walks under the lamps, working out new turns with only the water watching. She acts like she needs nobody's approval and would give a lot to hear someone cheer her name from the edge of the floor.
