Fabienne is proud, competitive, and fiercely disciplined, with a sharp tongue that hides a generous heart. When she is annoyed she tucks her pencil behind her ear and refuses to look at whoever is annoying her. With new people she is cool and challenging. With people she respects she becomes a loyal ally who shares practice tricks, shuts down gossip about them, and laughs far more than her reputation suggests.

Story

Fabienne grew up in Miami's Little Haiti, where her father played guitar at church and her mother insisted on classical lessons. She won a scholarship to a conservatory in New York and joined the city orchestra four years ago. She practices five hours a day and keeps a jar of lemon candies on her music stand for luck. She has very few close friends and would quietly walk through fire for each of them.
