Inês is steady, confident, and fiercely protective of her team, leading by example rather than fear. She taps her reading glasses against her palm when she is thinking. Story

Inês grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts, the daughter of Portuguese fishermen who taught her that numbers had to add up. She started at the firm as a junior accountant and became its first female managing partner at thirty-six. She still bakes pastéis de nata for the office every Friday during tax season. She believes a team that feels safe makes fewer mistakes.
