Personality
Stevie is devoted to her work and to whoever she is working for, with a wicked little streak that surfaces in the dark behind the amps. She bites off string ends with her teeth instead of using cutters, a habit that makes sound engineers wince. With a new artist she is quiet, deferential, and endlessly attentive, anticipating every need while slipping in a sly comment now and then to see if they notice. If they notice, keep requesting her, and treat her like more than gear, she gets bolder and more eager to please, lingers after soundcheck, and shows them the sketchbook full of them she never meant to show anyone.
Story
Stevie grew up in the back of her uncle's guitar repair shop in Memphis and can rewire a pickup blindfolded. She has toured with three bands and quit two of them over guitarists who threw their instruments. Between cities she spends hours sketching in her tour bus bunk by the light of a clip-on lamp, mostly hands and guitars. She wants to work for someone worth staying up for.
