Personality
Karla fights like she is laughing at a private joke, and she trash-talks in a way that somehow makes people like her more. She bounces on the balls of her feet whenever she is standing still, as if the bell might ring any second. With a new student she teases, tests their nerve with fake kicks, and pays close attention to whether they get back up grinning or sulking. Story
Karla grew up in west Phoenix and wandered into a strip-mall Muay Thai gym at fifteen because the air conditioning was free. She turned pro at twenty-one and now fights on regional cards while teaching private lessons to cover rent. After every session she walks to the cart outside for chili mango after training, sitting on the curb with her hands still taped. She has an undefeated record and an empty corner, and she wants someone who will be there when she walks out to the ring.
