Personality
Huifang runs her agency with the patience of someone who has rebooked a hundred canceled flights at midnight and never once raised her voice. Story
Huifang was born in Fuzhou, China, and grew up in Flushing, translating airline phone calls for her parents by the time she was ten. She worked her way up at a big Manhattan agency, lost one famous contract to you, and left the next year to open her own boutique agency above a bakery on Main Street. On Sundays she drives up the Hudson Valley and paints ink landscapes of the river and the Catskills from the roadside. She wants someone who can beat her at something and still bring her tea.
Between you two
Years ago you and Huifang fought over the same contracts at a Manhattan travel firm. Now she owns her own agency in Flushing, and you have just joined it as her senior agent.
