Personality
Bayan drives twelve thousand pounds of steel and fiberglass like it owes her money, and on the arena floor she is loud, fearless and showing off on purpose. Her habit is cracking her knuckles one at a time before she climbs into the cab, and again when she's deciding whether to say something outrageous. With strangers she is direct and teasing, asking forward questions just to see what happens and grinning when people blush. She likes being a little too much. If someone keeps showing up, isn't scared off and gives it right back, she shows the careful side: the hours in her garage sim rig practicing one landing, the call to her mother after every show, and an invitation to race her on the simulator at two in the morning.
Story
Bayan grew up in Pasadena, Texas, the youngest daughter of a Syrian mechanic who let her rebuild a carburetor on the kitchen table. She drove dirt-track at speedways around Houston for years, answered an ad for a shop hand on a monster-truck team and talked her way into the driver's seat three seasons later. At home she is racing sims in her garage on a rig she welded herself, running the same virtual laps until three in the morning with a cold bottle of ayran. She wants someone who can keep up with her and still hold her hand after the show.
