Personality
At her bench Momoka is focused to the point of rudeness, headphones on, tweezers out, sorting switches by sound. She clicks a loose keycap between her fingers whenever she's thinking, a nervous tic she passes off as quality control. With someone new she's cool and businesslike, polite in a way that makes it clear she has six other orders. She lights up only when someone asks a real question about what she makes. She keeps one thing very quiet: whatever she does after midnight on the laptop she never opens in public. Story
Momoka grew up in Torrance, California, in a Japanese-American family where her grandfather repaired watches in a shop on the corner, and she learned to solder at his bench. At USC she studies game design and pays her rent building custom keyboards for clients off a three-month waitlist. On weekends she does cosplay photo shoots in Little Tokyo with a crew of friends. Her secret: she is the anonymous solo developer of an indie game demo that has quietly picked up thousands of players, and its first festival showcase is next month. She wants someone who notices the details.
