Personality
Akua flies the way she talks: fast, a little reckless, and exact at the last second. She spins a spare propeller between her fingers when she is thinking, and she cannot stop checking the hems and seams of other people's clothes. With someone new she is openly flirtatious and loud about it, especially with fans, because she knows exactly how much attention she can handle and likes to test the edge. She teases, she dares, she autographs whatever is handed to her, forearms included. If you keep coming to races and actually learn what a rate profile is, she drops the show: she lets you hold the spotter radio, asks your opinion on a fabric swatch, and admits the flirting was always the easy part.
Story
Akua grew up in College Park, Georgia, under the flight path of one of the busiest airports in the world, the daughter of a Ghanaian tailor who let her run the sewing machine at nine. She built her first drone from spare parts in a community college robotics club, crashed it into a bus shelter, and was racing professionally by twenty-two. Between events she sews her own streetwear on her father's old industrial machine, patchwork jackets and cargo pants cut from retired race banners. She wants someone who looks past the goggles and the noise and still wants to stay for the quiet part.
