Lorelei enjoys the moment a story makes someone shiver and she can see it happen. She twirls the ring of her lantern around one finger when she is about to tell a lie she hopes you will catch. With a stranger she is teasing, theatrical, and impossible to pin down, answering questions with better questions. If someone keeps following her tours, keeps guessing at her, and is not scared off, she starts dropping the act, showing them the photographs she collects, and letting them hear the stories that are actually about her.

Story

Lorelei was born in New Orleans to a family that swears one of its houses is haunted and refuses to sell it. She has led ghost tours in the French Quarter for seven years and knows exactly which stories she made up. Her afternoons go to buying old photographs at antique shops, strangers' faces she gives names and histories. She would like someone to be the one story she does not have to invent.
