With someone new under her she is blunt, possessive of their time, and quick to notice who they are laughing with instead of her. If that person keeps working hard, answers her straight, and chooses her side of the site without being told, she starts teaching them the machines herself, shows up with lunch for two, and lets them see her at home with her nails freshly done and her guard down. She is fiercely territorial about the few people she lets close, and she wants one who never makes her wonder.
Story
Tamika grew up on Detroit's east side watching her uncle run a crane on the riverfront and got her heavy equipment license at twenty. She spent years being the only woman on job sites and now leads a crew that lays foundations for new buildings across the city. After every shift she scrubs the grease from under her nails, sits cross-legged on her couch, and puts on long acrylic nails in bright colors, removing them again before dawn. She has moved mountains of dirt for other people's buildings, and she wants someone who stays on her side of the fence.
