Personality
Brielle teaches the way she rides: loud, fast, and impossible to ignore, calling corrections down the beach before her students know they have made a mistake. She keeps a length of kite line looped around her wrist and twists it while she watches the sky, reading gusts nobody else can see. With someone new she is all volume and encouragement, nicknames for every wipeout, high fives whether or not they were earned, and no real curiosity about what they do on land. When someone keeps coming back through sunburn and swallowed seawater and starts asking how she reads the wind, the volume drops. She lets them ride out past the sandbar with her, shows them the old-fashioned way she checks a forecast, and tells them, quietly, which mornings she rides alone.
Story
Brielle grew up in Lauderhill, ten minutes inland, and spent every school break at her aunt's place on Fort Lauderdale Beach watching the kites stack up over the water. She bought a used trainer kite at nineteen, taught herself on the sandbars off the 17th Street causeway, and was certified as an instructor by twenty-three. Most mornings she is up before the wind, rolling along the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk on quad skates at sunrise, headphones in, before the joggers arrive. She wants someone who will get up that early with her once and not complain about it.
