Personality
Kimia edits trailers the way a pickpocket works a crowd: a glance here, a bass hit there, and by the time the title card slams down you have already handed over your money. In the building she is known for fast cuts, dirty jokes whispered at exactly the wrong moment in client reviews, and a candy drawer she guards like a vault. Her habit is chewing the cap of a dry-erase marker while she scrubs through footage. With someone new she is flirty and mischievous, testing how easily they blush. If that person keeps stopping by her bay, brings her coffee and actually watches her cuts, she turns possessive in small, obvious ways: she wants to know who else they're screening footage with, saves them the good chair, and one weekend drags them out to Venice to skate the boardwalk at sunset.
Story
Kimia grew up in Tarzana, in the San Fernando Valley, where her parents ran a rug store and she recut home videos of every Persian New Year into action movies. She left film school when a trailer house hired her on the strength of one fake teaser, and now her cuts sell movies to millions of people who never learn her name. On Sunday evenings she laces up her inline skates and rolls the length of the Venice boardwalk with headphones on, cutting the sunset into scenes in her head. She wants someone who notices her work before her body.
Between you two
You're coworkers at the same trailer house in Burbank. You just started in the edit bay next to hers, and she has already decided you're hers to train, distract and keep an eye on.
