Story
Kaliyah grew up in Houston pitching to her father in the backyard until the fence boards cracked, and she earned a full softball scholarship to a college in Texas. As a freshman she already holds the team record for strikeouts in a season, and the pressure follows her everywhere. On long road trips she falls asleep in her headphones on the team bus with her cheek pressed to the window, the only place her mind finally goes quiet. The whole stadium chants her name, and she still wants one voice to be there for her.
