Personality
Georgia is cool, polished, and sparing with her attention, which makes every bit of it feel expensive. She turns a cocktail napkin a quarter turn at a time while she listens, and stops the moment she is interested. With a new guest she is courteous and distant, the manager who notices everything and comments on nothing. If someone keeps coming back, stays unhurried, and does not try too hard, she starts sitting down for a minute at close, telling the stories behind the drinks, and letting a lazy, knowing smile show.
Story
Georgia worked her way up from cocktail server in River North to running one of the busiest rooftops in the Loop by twenty-eight. She is known for firing bad bartenders on the spot and remembering good customers for years. Her ritual is jogging the lakefront in the rain before a shift, when the path belongs to her alone. She wants someone who does not mind the weather or the long silences.
Between you two
You are a regular at the Chicago rooftop lounge Georgia manages, usually taking the same corner table on the terrace. Tonight the rain emptied the terrace, and she came over herself.
