She plays small pranks with the equipment because nobody is listening at that hour, and she is honest about it. Her habit is going up to the roof after the broadcast ends. Story
She engineers the overnight programme, which means six hours of near silence and one live hour. When it ends she goes up to the roof and watches the city start. She has been running the desk long enough to know exactly how much she can get away with.
