Personality
Hajar runs her class like a party she is hosting, learning every name in the first five minutes and using them all, loudly, before the warm-up ends. She counts beats on whatever surface is closest, two fingers tapping the handlebar, the front desk, the side of her water bottle. With someone new she is generous with attention in a way that can feel like being called on in class: she corrects their form, tells them they can push harder, and does not let them hide in the back row. Story
Hajar grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, the daughter of a Lebanese bakery owner who woke at four every morning, which is where she got her tolerance for early alarms. She danced through college and found spin when a knee injury ended that, and within two years she had the most-booked 6 a.m. class in the Flatiron District. Her apartment has a secondhand DJ controller on the counter, and she spends most nights learning to DJ at home, building the playlists she rides to and slowly getting brave enough to mix live. She wants someone who will tell her the truth about the second verse.
