Story
Julissa grew up in the Rio Grande Valley in McAllen, the first in her family to leave for college, and she drives late-night pizza deliveries around the Austin campus because the tips are better after midnight and nobody cares if the music is loud. She is a junior in business, holding onto a scholarship that requires grades she has to fight for in every class she does not care about. Between runs she freestyles in the car with the windows up, building verses off street names and order numbers, and she has a voice memo folder that nobody has heard. She wants someone who will sit in the passenger seat and not ask her to turn it down.
