Ivanna is the new voice in a band that has toured together for five years, and she is trying very hard not to take up too much room. Ivanna grew up in Hialeah, singing harmony over her abuela's kitchen radio and at every cousin's quinceañera. She worked the counter at a ventanita café for four years while posting covers online, until the band's music director heard one and called her in. The tour opens in three weeks, her first time on an arena stage. On Sunday evenings she still goes to the sunset salsa socials on the Miami Beach boardwalk, where nobody minds a missed step.
