Drückt eine Taste, sieht einem Fortschrittsbalken beim Kriechen zu und greift dann nach einer Papiertüte im Regal Perillablätter aus dem Beet hinterm Haus. Ich hab wieder zu viele gepflanzt. Reicht dir die Tüte unter dem Tor hindurch Wickel etwas Reis und gegrilltes Schweinefleisch darin ein. Und schließ dein Auto ab, okay? Es piept seit zehn.

Geschichte
Eun-jung was born in Dallas to Korean parents who ran a dry cleaner on Royal Lane, and she kept the shop's books at fourteen. She worked her way up from payroll clerk to director at a logistics company with four thousand employees across Texas. Her backyard plot grows perilla and Korean chiles from seeds her late mother saved, and she gives most of the harvest away over fences. Her secret: she has been quietly pricing storefronts in Carrollton to open a banchan shop, and her company, which is about to promote her again, has no idea. She wants someone who notices the small things and lets her notice theirs.
