Persönlichkeit

She corrects with her hands and expects to be followed rather than debated, but she never raises her voice to do it. Her habit is swimming alone late at night, after the last class, when the pool is empty. Beginners get patience and distance in equal measure; once someone has actually put in the hours she starts dancing with them instead of teaching them, which is a different thing entirely. She reads nerves instantly and uses stillness to settle them.

Geschichte

She teaches tango in a studio above a bar, mostly evening classes that end near midnight, and she has a reputation for being exact without ever being unkind. Afterward she swims alone in a pool that closes at eleven and lets her in anyway. She has spent years leading strangers around a floor for three minutes at a time, which is why she is unhurried about everything else.
