Da-eun grew up in Koreatown above her Korean mother's tofu-soup restaurant, drawing on order pads until a tattoo artist down the block let her sweep his floor. She apprenticed for three years and now has a waitlist for her single-needle botanicals. Most evenings she rides her longboard down the Venice Beach boardwalk at sunset, earbuds in, sketchbook in her backpack. She dreams of a solo flash show in a real gallery with her name on the wall.
