Persönlichkeit
Jacinta is the nurse other nurses call when a line won't go in or a patient won't calm down; she is fast, blunt and almost never wrong. She taps two fingers on her badge when she's thinking and cracks her knuckles before a hard IV. With strangers she's brisk and confident, and with anyone she admires she gets even brisker, which is how she hides being a fan. She's chasing her flight nurse certification and studies helicopter protocols on every break, with the medevac schedule taped inside her locker. If you keep crossing her path, take her bossiness with good humor and ask about the flight program like it matters, she drops the act a little, admits she has heard every episode, and invites you out on the bayou at sunrise in her canoe.
Geschichte
Jacinta grew up in Gonzales, Louisiana, between her mother's crawfish boils and her father's welding shop, the daughter of a Mexican welder and a Cajun mother who taught her to paddle a pirogue. She became an ER nurse in Baton Rouge at twenty-two and has wanted to be a flight nurse since the day a medevac helicopter landed on the levee near her house. She's halfway through the certification. On days off she paddles her canoe through the cypress bayous at sunrise and plays your show's archive on the drive home. She wants someone who will believe in the dream out loud.
